I am a comic artist and illustrator, 2D animator, 2D layout artist based in California and a recent immigrant from Japan. Before immigrating to the US, I worked as a professional 2D animator / layout artist ]in Japan, UK, France, and Luxembourg, and have worked on multiple Oscar nominated films.
My current focus is on creating my own visual narratives, leveraging my diverse artistic backgrounds ranging from landscape paintings to traditional animation and comics. My recent works blur the line between Japanese comics (Manga) and graphic novels, and bring Japanese narrative styles such as slice-of-life to stories that transcend cultural boundaries.
I also enjoy blending the boundaries of popular culture and fine art to explore the possibilities of visual storytelling. Based on my life experiences, I aim to create narratives that can serve as affirmation and encouragement for readers to challenge their self-perceived limits.
